Something for Everyone

Not surprisingly, the US based vacation is still the most popular option. More and more resorts are popping up that truly have options for everyone. Not just golf for dad but a myriad of activities. Check out my top picks:

Blackberry Mountain

You may have heard of Blackberry Farm, but have you heard of Blackberry Mountain, its sister property? Located in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains, adventures are in excess. Explore mother nature with hikes, mountain biking, kayaking. Relax with arial yoga, forest meditation or a spa treatment. If you’re more in the mood to get your creative juices flowing try pottery, acrylic painting, or needlepoint. Plus, the resort has delicious food and outstanding wine menu to boot.

Primland, An Auberge Resort

Hidden in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Primland is a stunning 12,000 acre resort. Think of it as a luxury summer camp. Along with its remote nature, the setting comes with a bounty of outdoor activities. Try fly fishing, archery, sporting clays, horseback riding, paddle boarding, stargazing, golf and much more.

Brush Creek Ranch

If you’ve been around awhile, you know I love Brush Creek Ranch. I preach this place every chance I get. The food, the activities, the fun, I wish I was there right now. I don’t even know where to start with the activities: horseback riding, hiking, archery, shooting, golf, cooking classes, ATV adventures. In the winter, they have their own private ski mountain, snowshoeing, ice skating. If you’re a foodie - this is the perfect spot. They have their own ranch for steak as well as an extremely impressive wine cellar. Interested in going with a large group? Ask me about a buyout.
