5 Reasons You Should Use a Travel Advisor!
I'm going to start with big reason and it might be so big, the reason you were waiting for, that you will stop reading after number 1 and call me immediately... so without further ado, here we go:
It doesn't cost you anything
Let me repeat that... it doesn't cost you a single extra dime to have a travel advisor. Now you see this is a biggie because most people assume that on top of paying for your trip, you also need to pay a travel advisor. I'm going to let you in on a little industry secret here... we do not get paid by the client; we get paid by the vendor. For further explanation... every hotel, tour guide, airline, etc. pays us commission. Yet the rate you get from these vendors isn't any more due to the commission but rather you will actually get better rates than if you were to book yourself... which leads me to point number 2.
More free stuff
Everyone loves free stuff. I think free stuff makes us feel special, like walking into your hotel room and having a wine and cheese plate ready for you on arrival, it makes you feel like you're VIP. That's exactly what a travel advisor does, we make you feel like you're VIP. That cheese and wine I mentioned? Imagine receiving something like that every time you check into a hotel, or a spa credit upon check in. These are perks you will receive when working with a travel advisor. We add value to your trip, get you more bang for your buck!
We are trained to problem solve!
You know what's the worst? Arriving at the train station but there's no train. Getting to the airport and realizing your passports expire in less than 6 months so you cannot travel to a particular country. Flying 18 hours and not having the correct visa. We are trained to make sure that every I is dotted and T is crossed before you take off and better yet, to make sure those I's stay dotted and those T's stay crossed while you're gone. If a train gets cancelled, we will be the first to find out and if all goes well... you never will!
We're experts!
Do you know how many emails I get regarding various destinations, cruise offers, new hotel openings a day? Hundreds! And I read them all... because knowledge is power! So when you come to me and tell me you want to go somewhere warm in December that isn't lying on the beach... I can name options off the top of my head.
